وَقَالَ
الَّذِينَ
لَا
يَرْجُونَ
لِقَاءنَا
لَوْلَا
أُنزِلَ
عَلَيْنَا
الْمَلَائِكَةُ
أَوْ
نَرَى
رَبَّنَا
لَقَدِ
اسْتَكْبَرُوا
فِي
أَنفُسِهِمْ
وَعَتَوْ
عُتُوًّا
كَبِيرًا
21. And said the ones who aspire not to meeting Us,
"If only descended upon us are the angels or we see our
Lord." They truly were arrogant in themselves and
were insolent, great insolence.
يَوْمَ
يَرَوْنَ
الْمَلَائِكَةَ
لَا
بُشْرَى
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَيَقُولُونَ
حِجْرًا
مَّحْجُورًا
22. The day they see the angels, no glad tidings are
(there) that day for the malefactors and they say,
"Detaining, detainment!"
وَقَدِمْنَا
إِلَى
مَا
عَمِلُوا
مِنْ
عَمَلٍ
فَجَعَلْنَاهُ
هَبَاء
مَّنثُورًا
23. And We came forward to what they performed of deeds, thus We make
them motes, scattered.
أَصْحَابُ
الْجَنَّةِ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
خَيْرٌ
مُّسْتَقَرًّا
وَأَحْسَنُ
مَقِيلًا
24. The Companions of the Garden, that day, are better in
settlement and finer in place of recumbence.
وَيَوْمَ
تَشَقَّقُ
السَّمَاء
بِالْغَمَامِ
وَنُزِّلَ
الْمَلَائِكَةُ
تَنزِيلًا
25. And, The Day, sunders does the sky with the clouds, and
descended are the angels, descending!
الْمُلْكُ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
الْحَقُّ
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
وَكَانَ
يَوْمًا
عَلَى
الْكَافِرِينَ
عَسِيرًا
26. The dominion that day is the right for The All Merciful and
it is ever a day upon the repudiators, difficult.
وَيَوْمَ
يَعَضُّ
الظَّالِمُ
عَلَى
يَدَيْهِ
يَقُولُ
يَا
لَيْتَنِي
اتَّخَذْتُ
مَعَ
الرَّسُولِ
سَبِيلًا
27. And, The Day, bites does the oppressor on his hands; he
says, "If only I took with the messenger a way."
يَا
وَيْلَتَى
لَيْتَنِي
لَمْ
أَتَّخِذْ
فُلَانًا
خَلِيلًا
28. "O woe to me, if only I took not so-and-so as a
friend."
لَقَدْ
أَضَلَّنِي
عَنِ
الذِّكْرِ
بَعْدَ
إِذْ
جَاءنِي
وَكَانَ
الشَّيْطَانُ
لِلْإِنسَانِ
خَذُولًا
29. "He has truly deviated me from the remembrance after it
came to me; and ever is Satan to the human, a deserter."
وَقَالَ
الرَّسُولُ
يَا رَبِّ
إِنَّ
قَوْمِي
اتَّخَذُوا
هَذَا
الْقُرْآنَ
مَهْجُورًا
30. And said did the messenger, "O my Lord, assuredly my
people took this Quran in abandonment."
وَكَذَلِكَ
جَعَلْنَا
لِكُلِّ
نَبِيٍّ
عَدُوًّا
مِّنَ
الْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَكَفَى
بِرَبِّكَ
هَادِيًا
وَنَصِيرًا
31. And thus We made for every prophet an enemy from the
malefactors; and sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a
champion.
وَقَالَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
لَوْلَا
نُزِّلَ
عَلَيْهِ
الْقُرْآنُ
جُمْلَةً
وَاحِدَةً
كَذَلِكَ
لِنُثَبِّتَ
بِهِ
فُؤَادَكَ
وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ
تَرْتِيلًا
32. And said did the ones who repudiated, "If only
descended upon him was the Quran, one in totality."
Thus was to stabilize with it your heart; and We composed it,
composing!
وَلَا
يَأْتُونَكَ
بِمَثَلٍ
إِلَّا
جِئْنَاكَ
بِالْحَقِّ
وَأَحْسَنَ
تَفْسِيرًا
33. And they provide you not with a simile, but (that) We bring
you with the right and a finer explanation.
الَّذِينَ
يُحْشَرُونَ
عَلَى
وُجُوهِهِمْ
إِلَى
جَهَنَّمَ
أُوْلَئِكَ
شَرٌّ
مَّكَانًا
وَأَضَلُّ
سَبِيلًا
34. The ones who are massed on their countenances to Hell, those
are more evil in place and more deviated (in) way.
وَلَقَدْ
آتَيْنَا
مُوسَى
الْكِتَابَ
وَجَعَلْنَا
مَعَهُ
أَخَاهُ
هَارُونَ
وَزِيرًا
35. And We have truly provided Moses the writ and made with him,
his brother Aaron as an adjunct.
فَقُلْنَا
اذْهَبَا
إِلَى
الْقَوْمِ
الَّذِينَ
كَذَّبُوا
بِآيَاتِنَا
فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ
تَدْمِيرًا
36. So We said, "Go you (both) to the people, the ones who
belied Our signs." Then We devastated them,
devastating!
وَقَوْمَ
نُوحٍ
لَّمَّا
كَذَّبُوا
الرُّسُلَ
أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ
وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ
لِلنَّاسِ
آيَةً
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
لِلظَّالِمِينَ
عَذَابًا
أَلِيمًا
37. And the people of Noah, when they belied the messengers, We
drowned them and made them to humanity a sign; and We prepared
for the oppressors a painful torment...
وَعَادًا
وَثَمُودَ
وَأَصْحَابَ
الرَّسِّ
وَقُرُونًا
بَيْنَ
ذَلِكَ
كَثِيراً
38. ..and 'Aad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Encased,
and generations between that in abundance.
وَكُلًّا
ضَرَبْنَا
لَهُ
الْأَمْثَالَ
وَكُلًّا
تَبَّرْنَا
تَتْبِيرًا
39. And each We struck for him the similes, and each We
demolished, demolishing!
وَلَقَدْ
أَتَوْا
عَلَى
الْقَرْيَةِ
الَّتِي
أُمْطِرَتْ
مَطَرَ
السَّوْءِ
أَفَلَمْ
يَكُونُوا
يَرَوْنَهَا
بَلْ
كَانُوا
لَا
يَرْجُونَ
نُشُورًا
40. And they have truly arrived upon the village that was rained
upon with the rain of ill; were they not ever seeing it?
Rather, not were they ever aspiring (for) display.
