وَاصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسِي
41. "And I have commissioned you for Myself."

اذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِآيَاتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِي
42. "Go, you and your brother, with My signs and wane not in My remembrance."

اذْهَبَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَى
43. "Go to Pharaoh; assuredly, he has tyrannized."

فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَى
44. "Then say to him gentle speech so he might remember or revere."

قَالَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَوْ أَن يَطْغَى
45. They said, "Our Lord, we assuredly fear that he will be extreme upon us or that he will tyrannize."

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَى
46. He said, "Fear not, assuredly I am with you hearing and seeing."

فَأْتِيَاهُ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ قَدْ جِئْنَاكَ بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَى
47. "So approach him then say: "Assuredly, we are your Lord's messengers, so send with us the Children of Israel and torment them not; we have truly come to you with a sign from your Lord and peace be upon whoever follows the guidance."

إِنَّا قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْنَا أَنَّ الْعَذَابَ عَلَى مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى
48. "Assuredly it has truly been inspired to us that the torment is upon whoever belies and turns."

قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا يَا مُوسَى
49. He said, "So who is your Lord, O Moses?"

قَالَ رَبُّنَا الَّذِي أَعْطَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ هَدَى
50. He said, "Our Lord is the One who gave everything its creation - then guided."

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُونِ الْأُولَى
51. He said, "So what is the case of the earlier generations?"

قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي فِي كِتَابٍ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّي وَلَا يَنسَى
52. He said, "Its knowledge is at my Lord in a writ; my Lord neither deviates nor forgets."

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّن نَّبَاتٍ شَتَّى
53. The One who made for you the land smoothed, and set for you in it ways, and descended from the sky water by which We issued pairs of varied vegetation. 

كُلُوا وَارْعَوْا أَنْعَامَكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى
54. Eat and graze your livestock; assuredly in this are but signs to those with intellect.

مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى
55. From it We created you, and into it We restore you, and from it We issue you one more time.

وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَى
56. And We have truly shown him Our signs, all of them, yet he belied and refused.

قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَا مُوسَى
57.  He said, "Have you come to us to evict us from our land with your sorcery, O Moses?"

فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِّثْلِهِ فَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُ نَحْنُ وَلَا أَنتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى
58.  "Surely we will provide you with similar sorcery; so make between us and you an engagement we do not back-out of,  (neither) us nor you -- an equitable place."

قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ الزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى
59. He said, "Your engagement is the Day of Decoration and let the people be massed (at) mid-morning."

فَتَوَلَّى فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى
60. So he turned, Pharaoh, gathered his guile, then arrived.
